More devices support exFAT than support NTFS..

Can BIOS read exFAT?
A legacy BIOS should be able to boot exFAT without problems, as it does not have a concept of filesystem; it simply needs to read the boot sector (which is present), identify the signature (also present) and run the jump instruction at the start (also present).
